Youth Vote, applications in mobile devices and Independent Candidacy´s on Presidential Elections of 2018

The Electoral Process of 2018 was distinguished by the integration of Independent Candidates to the Mexican Presidency, as well as the implementation by the Federal Electoral Institute (INE by its initials in Spanish) of a mobile app to register the signatures to support such candidates. The objective of this study was to analyze the perception of such youngsters of the political scenario and of the Independent Candidates in that Electoral Process. or that purpose, a quantitative investigation was made to a convenient non-probabilistic sample of 264 students of bachelor´s degree. In this study, it was possible to identify the evident lack of knowledge of the Independent Candidacies and of the App made by the INE. For that matter, several contrast tests, such as Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Multinomial Logistic Regression.
