Characterization of degree projects of Industrial Design of the Universidad de Investigación y Desarrollo, Bucaramanga - Colombia
Abstract
In academic institutions, students, as part of their training, develop degree projects that address specific problems in
their respective areas of study, to deliver final documents. From the Industrial Design program of the Universidad de
Investigación y Desarrollo (UDI), the 99 documents delivered from 2015 to 2020 were taken as input, and a project
was developed in which 25 recordable data are identified, with which statistical graphs were prepared, to be analyzed
and generate 12 characteristics that identify the trends of the projects and preferences of the students of the program.
These results were subsequently related to the current curricular guidelines of the program to detect relevance with
the differentiating factor of the program, with the student's graduation profile, and with the line of research of the
research group.
